Creating a ThinkSmart Manager Organization
Summary
These instructions will walk you through creating a ThinkSmart Manager organization using a Lenovo ID. This is the standard configuration if you are not planning on using SSO. For information on creating a ThinkSmart Manager organization using SSO, please see the following options
Creating an Organization
- Go to ThinkSmart Manager portal.
- Click Create an Organization if the organization has not been created.
- Log in with your Lenovo ID. If you need to create an Lenovo ID, continue by clicking Sign up and follow the on-screen instructions to create a Lenovo ID. Be sure to validate the e-mail that comes from Lenovo when you first create a Lenovo ID.
Note: Do not use Lenovo ID’s Social Sign-on feature (Facebook, Google, or Windows® Live ID) for your ThinkSmart Manager. Lenovo recommends to sign in using an email address and password. - Once the Lenovo ID has been created, using the link in the e-mail, log in to the ThinkSmart Manager with you Lenovo ID.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to create an Organization.
- After the Organization is created, click Go To Portal to log in to the newly created Organization.
- Enter an Organization Name, and click Submit button.
- Log in with your Lenovo ID.
- The person that created the Organization is known as the Owner. The owner send invitations from within the ThinkSmart Manager portal to persons who need access in the Organization.
