Creating a ThinkSmart Manager Organization

Summary

These instructions will walk you through creating a ThinkSmart Manager organization using a Lenovo ID.  This is the standard configuration if you are not planning on using SSO.  For information on creating a ThinkSmart Manager organization using SSO, please see the following options


Creating an Organization

  1. Go to ThinkSmart Manager portal.
  2. Click Create an Organization if the organization has not been created.

  3. Log in with your Lenovo ID. If you need to create an Lenovo ID, continue by clicking Sign up and follow the on-screen instructions to create a Lenovo ID. Be sure to validate the e-mail that comes from Lenovo when you first create a Lenovo ID.

    Note: Do not use Lenovo ID’s Social Sign-on feature (Facebook, Google, or Windows® Live ID) for your ThinkSmart Manager. Lenovo recommends to sign in using an email address and password.


  4. Once the Lenovo ID has been created, using the link in the e-mail, log in to the ThinkSmart Manager with you Lenovo ID.

  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to create an Organization.

  6. After the Organization is created, click Go To Portal to log in to the newly created Organization.

  7. Enter an Organization Name, and click Submit button.
  8. Log in with your Lenovo ID.

  9. The person that created the Organization is known as the Owner. The owner send invitations from within the ThinkSmart Manager portal to persons who need access in the Organization.
